Georgia EBT Deposit Schedule 2026: When SNAP Benefits Are Loaded

Georgia EBT deposits load between the 5th and 23rd based on your Client ID. See the full 2026 schedule, income limits, and how to check your balance.

If you receive SNAP benefits in Georgia, your EBT card is loaded once a month on a specific date determined by the last two digits of your Client ID number. Benefits are distributed between the 5th and 23rd of each month. There is no single deposit day for all recipients. Georgia staggers deposits across 10 groups to reduce strain on the system and ensure benefits are available without delays.

This guide covers the complete Georgia EBT deposit schedule for 2026, how to find your Client ID, how to check your balance, and what to do if your benefits are late.

2026 Georgia EBT Deposit Schedule

Georgia's Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) uses your nine-digit Client ID to determine when your benefits load each month. Look at the last two digits of that number, then find your group below.

Last Two Digits of Client IDDeposit Date
00 to 095th of the month
10 to 197th of the month
20 to 299th of the month
30 to 3911th of the month
40 to 4913th of the month
50 to 5915th of the month
60 to 6917th of the month
70 to 7919th of the month
80 to 8921st of the month
90 to 9923rd of the month

This schedule applies to SNAP food benefits. If your deposit date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, your benefits typically load on the prior business day. Always confirm with DFCS if you are unsure about a specific month.

Cash Assistance (TANF) Deposits

If you receive TANF cash assistance through Georgia EBT, the deposit schedule is different. TANF benefits load on the first of each month. When the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday, funds are available on the last business day before it.

SNAP and TANF are separate programs with separate deposit dates. Having one does not affect when the other loads.

How to Find Your Client ID

Your Client ID is a nine-digit number assigned to your case by DFCS. You can find it in several places:

  • On any official letter or approval notice from DFCS
  • Printed on your Georgia EBT card
  • In your Georgia Gateway account under case details

If you cannot locate your Client ID, call DFCS at (877) 423-4746 or log in to your Georgia Gateway account at gateway.ga.gov.

How to Check Your EBT Balance

You have a few ways to check your balance without visiting a DFCS office.

By phone: Call the Georgia EBT Customer Service line at 1-888-421-3281. This automated line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Have your card number ready. The system provides your current food and cash balances and supports multiple languages.

Online: Log in to your Georgia Gateway account at gateway.ga.gov to view your balance and recent transaction history.

At an ATM or store: Many ATMs and grocery store checkout terminals display your balance after you swipe your card and enter your PIN. Some retailers show it on your receipt.

Through an app: Third-party apps like Propel's Fresh EBT let you track your Georgia EBT balance and transaction history on your phone.

What If Your Benefits Are Late?

If your deposit date has passed and benefits have not loaded, check these things first.

Your case may be under review or pending a redetermination. If DFCS needs updated information from you, benefits can be delayed until you respond. Check your Georgia Gateway account for any alerts or required actions.

Benefits do not load on federal holidays. If your scheduled date falls on a holiday, contact DFCS to confirm the adjusted date.

If there are no alerts on your account and no holiday explains the delay, call DFCS at (877) 423-4746 or contact EBT customer service at 1-888-421-3281.

Unused Benefits Roll Over

Georgia SNAP benefits do not expire at the end of the month. Any unused balance rolls over to the following month and is added to your new deposit. The same applies to P-EBT benefits. There is no penalty for not spending your full allotment each month.

However, your account can become inactive if there are no transactions for 274 days (about nine months). After that point, remaining benefits may be removed. Keep your account active by making at least one purchase during that window.

2026 Georgia SNAP Income Limits

To remain eligible for SNAP in Georgia, your household must meet income requirements set by the USDA. These limits are updated each October. The current limits are effective from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026.
